Wugli's Odyssey: Crimson and Azure

About Wugli's Odyssey: Crimson and Azure

Dude, you up? It's 11 PM and I literally cannot sleep. My brain is still buzzing from Wugli's Odyssey.

Remember how you told me it was just about these Wugli brothers on hoverboards, trying to escape a castle, grabbing keys and avoiding a zombie? And like, if you get caught you lose? Honestly, that description is sooooo wrong. It's like describing a rollercoaster as "a train that goes fast." Technically true, but completely misses the point.

I started playing it thinking it would be some dumb little platformer, right? Like, just jump and dodge. But holy cow, it's so much more. The first time I played, I spent like an hour just in the first "wing" of the castle. You control both Crimson and Azure at the same time, but they have totally different skills. Crimson is super fast and can jump really high, but he's tiny and can't push anything heavy. Azure is slow and kinda clunky, but he's strong and can move big blocks.

So you get to these puzzles, and it's not just "find the red key." It's like, you need Azure to push this giant stone gargoyle to block a laser beam, but then Crimson needs to quickly zip through the now-safe hallway and hit a switch that opens a gate for Azure before the gargoyle slides back. It's so clever! There was this one part where I had to make Crimson stand on a pressure plate to open a door, but that left Azure stuck. It took me ages, but then I realized I could use Azure to push a statue onto the plate, freeing Crimson up. I actually gasped out loud, lol.

And the "zombie"? It's not just some monster. It's this creepy "Castle Keeper" that patrols, and it reacts to sound! So you have to make one brother cause a distraction, like knocking over a suit of armor, while the other sneaks past. The little "clink-clank" sound it makes when it walks down a hallway just gives me chills.

I usually don't like puzzle games, I'm more into just blowing stuff up, but this is different. It's fun. Really, really fun. I checked the clock and it was like 2 AM the other night, your just so focused. I was thinking about how to solve that one tricky "Clock Tower" stage all day at work today. Told Sarah she has to try it. Seriously, forget what you heard, your gonna love this.
