Hey, you awake? It's 11 PM but I literally cannot sleep. I just finished playing Cute Solitaire Girls and I HAVE to tell you about it. Remember how I told you that description sounded kinda boring? Like, "classic card gameplay with anime girl collection elements." Ugh. That's like describing a really good pizza as "bread with toppings." Technically true but totally misses the point.
This game, dude. It's so much more. I loaded it up thinking it would just be, like, normal Solitaire but with pretty pictures. And yeah, the girls are cute, like, really cute. There's Luna the fairy, and Kiko who's like a witch, and this little cat character, Mochi, who just sleeps on the side of the screen but sometimes wakes up and winks when you do something cool. But then I started playing. And it's not just Solitaire. It's like, every time you make a good move, or clear a column, you get these little energy points. And these points let your girls do stuff!
I remember when I first matched four "Moonpetal" cards and Luna, who was just chilling on the side, suddenly like, zapped the whole top row and cleared it for me. My jaw literally dropped. I was like, "WHAT?!" It completely changed how I played. Before, I was just trying to match cards. Now, I'm trying to set up these big combos so Luna or Kiko can do their special moves. Kiko's is super cool, she like, shuffles all the face-down cards so you get a better chance at matching.
And the sound! That little 'ding' when you clear a column, it's so satisfying. I played for, like, three hours straight without even realizing it. I looked up and it was almost 2 AM. I only meant to play one round before bed. Honestly, the tutorial was a bit fast, I had to replay it a couple times to get what was going on. But once it clicked, it just clicked.
You know I don't usually care about collecting stuff in games, or even solitaire, but this is different. It's like, you're actually *using* the girls' powers to win, not just collecting them. I was literally thinking about how to clear that one tricky "Forest Stage" during my lunch break today. I already told Sarah from work she has to try it. It's fun. Really, really fun. Your gonna love it.
